Open spaces in North Somerset have again been recognised as some of the best in the country. Five parks in North Somerset have all been awarded the prestigious Green Flag again this year. The award, handed out by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises well managed, high quality green spaces which are available for public use.
North Somerset Council’s executive member for parks and open spaces, Cllr Peter Bryant, said: “These Green Flag awards are a tribute to the hard work of our staff and our contractors Glendale Services who do a tremendous job despite the financial pressures we continue to face. I am delighted their efforts have once again been rewarded.
