A ‘Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES)’ pilot in the West of England has been awarded to a consortium of local organisation through Defra funding. The project will look at alternative water treatment processes by using land management interventions to improve water quality, mitigate flooding, reduce soil erosion, and as a result enhance habitats and wildlife. The project is being run by Eunomia, Bristol Water, Wessex Water, Avon Wildlife Trust, and TLT Solicitors.
