JSPJoint Spatial Plan: A Prospectus for Sustainable Growth

The four West of England Authorities are working together to prepare a plan that aims to identify the overall quantum of housing and jobs that need to be planned for, and how they might be distributed across the sub-region from 2016 – 36. Estimates state that to maintain its current prosperity, the area needs 85,000 new homes by 2036. This plan is being developed in conjunction with a Joint Transport Plan.

The consultation is now open and enables people to have their say on how they think homes, employment and other infrastructure should be provided in the West of England over the next 20 years.

Comments can be made on anything relating to the Joint Spatial Plan and Joint Transport Plan between Monday 9 November 2015 and 5pm on Friday 29 January 2016, please visit www.jointplanningwofe.org.uk to find out more.
