Nature in Danger: Protecting our Environment in a Changing World

 Past event (7th March 2017)

On 7th March, Bristol Green Capital Partnership welcomed over 100 people to the SS Great Britain to their quarterly partnership gathering. This nature-themed event was an opportunity to explore the challenges facing wildlife and our green spaces, share information about the fantastic projects already taking place in Bristol and the West of England, and identify what we can do to ensure nature is protected and celebrated in the years ahead. Short presentations were given by key players from across the city, with an action-oriented breakout session following.

Speakers included Fraser Bridgeford (Bristol Parks Forum), Shelly Dewhurst (West of England Nature Partnership), Sarah Pitt (The Community Farm),  Adam Kennerley (Severn Vision), Ali Plummer (The Wildlife Trusts) and Julie Doherty (Avon Wildlife Trust).

Watch WENP’s Manager Shelly Dewhurst talk about the importance of planning for green infrastructure here.
