Since 2016, the West of England Nature Partnership has participated among other key stakeholders in a new, experimental initiative, the Adaptation & Resilience Framework, to help multiple organisations understand land-use planning at a catchment scale.
The Framework, sponsored by Wessex Water, has no status in planning but rather has been developed through voluntary participation of key organisations, and is a technical and multi-disciplinary effort to identify and coordinate responses to risks and opportunities presented by climate change, development pressure, resource and budgetary pressures and infrastructure vulnerability.
