On the 11th June WENP, Natural Academy and Ecowild hosted a webinar on Nature and Health, which was dedicated to sharing the work on nature and health over the last two years in the West of England and more widely across the South West, and to discussing how we can work together to make improvements in people’s health and wellbeing become an intrinsic part of the recovery of the natural environment.

Presentations were received from Selena Gray, Chair of WENP and Professor in Public Health at University of West of England; James Szymankiewicz, Chair of Natural Devon and Director of Strategy and Partnerships at the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare; and Maria Clarke, Manager of Dorset Local Nature Partnership. The presentations was followed by a panel Q&A session, and breakout sessions were held to discuss topics raised in the presentations. Emily Malik, Director of Ecowild, presented on the voice of participants in nature and health services to round off the afternoon.

As not everyone was able to make the event who would have liked to, we have made available a partial recording of the event that contains the presentations from WENP, Devon LNP, Dorset LNP and EcoWild, as well as the Panel Q&A session. The recording comes to around one hour in total and is available in two parts at the following links.

The presentations that were given at the meeting have also been uploaded as PDF files, which can be accessed at the following link: https://wenp.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WoE-Nature-and-Health-Webinar-Presentation-Slides.pdf.
