In Partnership with Natural Academy and EcoWild, WENP supports the Nature and Health Practitioners Network. The Network brings together practitioners in the field of nature and health in the West of England and beyond, as well as other interested parties, to connect, collaborate, discuss, learn and share. The Network meets in person every two-to-three months, and a dedicated website provides an online space for both professionals and participants, as well as a members section with further resources.

As well as providing a space for practitioners to collaborate, the Network is making an important contribution to WENP’s objective of mainstreaming ‘nature-based health services‘ – lifestyle choices, preventions and interventions that, through engagement with nature, support people’s health and wellbeing, develop connections between people and nature, and build behaviours that encourage care for our natural environment.

Over the past year, the Network has developed standards for practitioners that will help provide assurance as to the quality of services provided within the field, has brought together an evidence base for nature-based health services, and has created the aforementioned website. Additionally, the Practitioner Network has provided a single voice and point of contact for practitioners to engage with the health and care sector.

Minutes from previous meetings of the Network can be found below. If you are interested in joining the mailing list for the Practitioner Network, you can sign up using the link below.
